We are thrilled to announce that our innovative dive platform lift, designed for the Paris 2024 Olympics Aquatics Centre, has been awarded first place in the Platform Lifts and Stairway Chairlifts category of the Elevator World 2025 Project of the Year contest. This prestigious accolade will be featured in the January issue of Elevator World, and we are honoured to receive a commemorative trophy in recognition of our achievement.
Meeting the Olympic Challenge
When approached by the Paris Olympics committee, we embraced the challenge of creating a space-efficient solution for practice diving platforms. Traditional setups would have required three separate platforms for 1M, 2M, and 3M dives. Our bespoke design ingeniously combined all three into a single height-adjustable platform, achieving a remarkable 66% reduction in occupied floor space within the Aquatics Centre. This project exemplifies our commitment to delivering tailored solutions that meet unique client needs, from a simple scissor lift table to bespoke, complex systems.

Our dive platform lift was meticulously engineered to replicate the stability and performance of fixed concrete platforms, essential for divers’ practice routines. The platform incorporated advanced features typically found in our hydraulic scissor lift tables, but adapted for the unique demands of Olympic-level use.

- Precise Height Adjustability: Millimetre-perfect positioning at 1M, 2M, and 3M heights, facilitated by optical limit switches.
- Robust Construction: A 3000kg capacity scissor lift platform with reinforced superstructure, ensuring rigidity and safety.
- Advanced Safety Measures: Dual hydraulic cylinders with integrated hose burst valves, guided running gear, emergency lowering systems, and automatic gates.

The Paris 2024 Aquatics Centre, designed with sustainability in mind, features timber construction, solar energy utilisation, and rainwater harvesting.
