TCL1000 MCL

MCL Series Low Rise Goods Lift

The TCL1000 MCL was launched to meet high demand across many sectors for safe and efficient transport of goods between two fixed levels.
The lift was developed in close collaboration with a client to meet criteria for all end-users, focusing on safety, practicality, and adaptability across various environments.
A unique, interchangeable barrier system allows for through-car, left-adjacent, or right-adjacent access by rotating aluminium barrier sections, making it adaptable for any space.
The MCL is now the “go-to” solution for moving pallets, bins, and trolleys.

Introduction

The Edmolift TCL1000 MCL (Medium Column Lift) was introduced to the market last year in response to significant demand from clients across a multitude of commercial sectors, including manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and data centres. Initially intended for the safe and efficient transport of roll-cages between two fixed levels, its versatile design quickly proved it had far broader applications.

Problem

The challenge was to develop a low-rise goods lift that was universally functional, exceptionally safe, and adaptable enough to be installed across many environments, from industrial kitchens to retail floors. It needed to be operated safely by all members of a workforce and be extraordinarily robust and reliable, meeting a very demanding and non-negotiable criteria from end-users.

Solution

The MCL platform was developed in very close liaison with a specific initial client, resulting in a highly refined and adaptable solution. The clever design allows for through car entry, plus adjacent left and adjacent right access. This adaptability is achieved through a completely interchangeable barrier system: each laser-cut and folded lightweight aluminium barrier section can be rotated with minimal effort and tools to switch the barriers and ramp to suit the installation environment. Safety features include a lowered height of just 80mm bridged by a folding ramp that automatically locks vertically to retain the load, and a 90-degree swinging barrier arm at the upper level that prevents falls and is secured by a limit switch to stop lift travel if not correctly in place.

Results

Since its launch, the MCL has garnered exceptional interest from an extended client base, rapidly becoming the “go-to” solution for low-rise goods lift vertical transport. It moves pallets, bins, server cabinets, and trolleys, in addition to roll-cages, with ease and complete safety, and can be installed virtually anywhere, both internally and externally. Such has been the success and interest in the MCL that Edmolift is now stocking the standard product, with custom sizes, corporate colours, and laser-cut logos available by request.
